In a unexpected crossover event that breaks traditional predictions, Ubisoft has announced an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

According to the official statement, "An unusual meeting draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of forbidden rituals and monstrous changes reverberate through the shadows." The plot introduces a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a hidden cult.
The mission focuses on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Metamorphoses
The preview showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Additional Features
Players who successfully complete the mission will obtain an exclusive katana alongside numerous objects secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
